OSHA Regulations on Training

Keeping up with OSHA regulations concerning lift truck and aerial equipment safety is a crucuial part of the material handling industry. Since OSHA regulations regarding these pieces of equipment are in a constant state of fluidity, Louisiana Lift and Equipment is dedicated to keeping our customers up to date on OSHA regulation changes as they happen.

We are pleased to offer classes on both forklift and aerial work platforms for both experienced and inexperienced operators. OSHA’s regulations on equipment safety is that ANY operator of a particular piece of equipment be it forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc. need to be trained and that training needs to be in accordance with OSHA’s guidelines. Louisiana Lift follows OSHA’s guidelines very strictly, and go above and beyond their criteria to insure that operators that take our safety courses are not only taught through hands-on demonstration, but also thorough testing, and visual presentations.

Under the new OSHA regulations, a periodic (every 3 years) evaluation of trained operators are also required. Refresher or remedial training is also offered to your operators throughout our branches.

Material handling operations should be prepared for OSHA guidelines by insuring that all operators are properly trained and aware of equipment safety in the workplace.  Louisiana Lift and Equipment is always happy to answer any questions about OSHA compliance. We are also available to train and refresh your operators to make sure that everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.
